Happo-One Ski Resort, an all-year-round adventure destination in Japan, which is located in the foot of the Japanese North Alps in Nagano prefecture.

This fascinating resort is regarded as one of the biggest world class ski resorts in Japan, as being the host of the Winter Olympic Games in 1998.

Due to its location, with a peak altitude of 1831m and a base at 760m, Happo-One offers a wide variety of slopes from gentle slopes, to bumpy, steep, and long-run slopes of 8000m to all levels of skiers, boarders, and people enjoying alpine activities and adventures.  You will find a tremendous time experiencing wonderful fresh powder snow that the dry climate of Happo-One provides.  Winter season usually starts from the middle of December, and the snow lasts until May so that many people enjoy spring skiing and boarding under warm and comfortable weather.

Recently, many people from outside of Japan have visited Hakuba to experience its natural hotsprings located at the base of Happo-One and its powder snow condition.

The closest ski slope ‘Sakka’, is located within a few-minutes-walking distance from Gallery & Lodge Noichigo, and is located at the right bottom of Happo-One.  Since Sakka has gentle slopes with kids slopes and woodland paths from the top of Happo-One,  it is very popular among families and beginners while experts can enjoy the steep slopes, bumpy slopes, and long carving runs that one Happo-One has as its features.

The lifts, at Happo-One including a Gondola, connect at the top of Happo-One where you will have spectacular mountain scenery.

Many of wild flowers and cherry blossoms welcome you, and you will enjoy the greenery and natural showers in nice and warm weather during spring and summer time.

Happo-One is not only a winter resort, but also has plenty to offer as summer-options where you can enjoy canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, and other various kinds of outdoor activities in green seasons

The gondola and some lifts also operate in green seasons to take people to the top of Happo-One.

Happo-One is the starting point for mountain climbing courses. You can also enjoy hiking and trekking beside genuine mountain climbing at Happo-One.

Kouyo - colored leaves - a pleasure from the nature in the fall, and the chilly winds tell us winter season is approaching Hakuba soon.  The natural colorful arch of those trees welcomes you to Wadano area where Gallery & Lodge NOICHIGO is located.

Many of ‘Hakuba Meisters’ in different categories such as art, outdoor, culture, and climbing to introduce Hakuba with their special abilities to live and work in Hakuba.  An owner of Lodge & Gallery NOICHIGO, Taka (profile), is a Hakuba Meister in ART category and teaches people about a nature in Hakuba by drawing wild flowers and leaves of Hakuba with colored pencils. Spending some time with the Meisters to know more about Hakuba and the nature is one of the ways to enjoy your holidays.
