Nozawa-onsen snow resort Snow Japan

Nozawa Onsen is famous for the huge amount of hot springs (onsen).There are more than 30 hot springs, with 100% natural hotwater. The hottest isthe Ogama spring where the water temperature reaches about 90° C (194° F). Thisspring hasbecome the" kitchen" of the village as it is used to boil eggs andvegetables. The water from the Ogama spring is also used to servethe public hotspa baths of the village. Altogether there are13 public onsenwhich are open everyday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and canbe used free ofcharge.

The ski resort. With 2 gondolas, 22 chair lifts and 50 kilometersof courses to ride, Nozawa Onsen is one of the largest ski resortsinJapan.
Fire festibal (2011, 1/15) TheDosojin Fire Festivalis one of the three most famous fire festivals in Japan. It is held on January15thevery year to pray for a plentiful harvest, health and good fortune in thecoming year.
